Elland Bridge!

This may not be the most amazing photo or the most outstanding blip, but the fact this is a photo taken of Elland Bridge as I begin to drive across is remarkable.

The terrible Boxing Day floods of 2015 left the bridge completely destroyed. Since then, there has been work taking place almost every day to remove the remainder of the old bridge, repair all the damaged pipes and so on, create a new bridge and restore the stone work.

Today, more than a year later, it reopened. :-D

I have also added an extra photo of my the art work my class did this afternoon - pointillism technique using cotton buds and paint!
