The New Place

This morning, we met with our builder in the apartment we are buying to measure for built-in bookcases, and to discuss painting and electrical work that we want to have done.  They will be starting work the first week of March!

Here you can see John (the head builder) on the far left, holding one end of a measuring tape, Emerson (painter) with his back to the camera, looking on, the sellers' realtor also with her back to the camera, Michael (our realtor) sitting in the chair checking his cell phone, and Mr. W on the far right, holding the other end of the tape.  Much muttering and calculating of feet and inches on scraps of paper later, we finally came up with the right dimensions for a large book case, 9 feet wide, with a storage cabinet to be built at the base.  More measuring and muttering occurred in other rooms.  All very exciting!
