Cold Easterly WInd

After a visit to the supermarket I went to the harbour for a photograph. I arrived just in time to get a few pictures of the Daroja coming in to port. The Daroja is a small Cyprus registered container carrier and was arriving from Kirkwall in the Orkney Isles.

The ship looks to be riding quite high, but that is just my impression, so these containers may not be very heavy. What would we import from the Orkneys in containers. Nothing much comes to mind to me, frozen fish maybe.

There was a bitingly cold Easterly wind, so despite my intention of having a walk I decided I was inappropriately dressed for the weather, and after a couple more photographs I called it a day.
