Another Grey Wolf in the family

I was a proud mum this evening to celebrate the third Grey Wolf in our family.
This is the highest Cub Scout award in the Australian scouting programme, and having seen his big brother and sister achieve it, young Mr A was determined to match them.

So, on his last night at cubs (working along the line) myself and Gordon, the Scout leaders, a retired and still passionate Cub leader, the district Cub leader , one of the cub leaders and the region commissioner all converged on the cubs' opening parade to celebrate his achievement.

Really, when you consider what a crappy year he had last year, this award represents the remarkable effort that he made over the whole year, and the wonderful support he received from the Cub pack.

Actually, I think the 1st Belmont scouting troop were (are) a fantastic source of support; of frozen meals, smiles and hugs for all of our family. How can you ever repay that, other than to pay it forward?
