The same and different

As I look around to take photos it occurs to me how different objects even with very dissimilar functions look much the same in close up. My thought pattern is wandering round as I write. Maybe it's because when you get down to looking at atoms they are all the same. Although there's probably a scientist to tell me this isn't actually true either. So much for science lessons !
This reminds me ofthe hanging basket I photographed a couple of weeks ago.
