Promise of beaded bubbles ...
... and boy! are we ready for them. They're now waiting in the fridge, let's hope they're 'stupidly cold', as they say here.
The friend I mentioned yesterday took her sister to the doctor this afternoon and we're waiting to hear how it went. As long as sister snaps out of denial in time, the operation should be this week. How life can change from one minute to the next! While she's away, I'll be picking up some of our friend's work - the work I passed on to her when I decided I'd had enough of slaving away 24/7, work that came to me from a friend during his unsuccessful fight against lung cancer. It really is a strange, and sometimes a cruel, world.
P.S. Just heard encouraging news from our friend. Seems the doctor was very nice and inspires confidence. Op is next Tuesday and they're going to take a very large chunk of her sister's colon out, but she won't need a colostomy bag as it's in the ascending colon. We're all thanking God for small mercies!
