The White Stuff...

Woke up to a layer of the white stuff.  It didn't last long.  By mid afternoon it was gone.

Last night David sent a strongly worded email to the engineer of the lift company and this morning he received a reply with a sincere  apology and taking full responsibility for the failure to properly survey the job.  

Thankfully our fantastic building team stepped in to rescue the situation and by early afternoon Johnny and Lewis had cleared the ash deafening and removed the hearth.  Heating engineer is coming to re-route the water pipes on Thursday morning.  Now hoping the lift will be installed a week on Thursday/Friday.   Please keep everything crossed.

Other than that it's been a fairly gentle day.  Spent most of it looking at furniture for the garden room and resisting the block of Green & Black's chocolate that came with our Gin Club order.   It's still calling me.
