"A World Away"

Danielle and Gunnar invited us out to Fire Island today! It was definitely an incredible escape. We didn't even feel like we were in New York anymore! We walked to Ocean Beach from Fair Harbor (where Gunnar's family was staying). It was far but I love adventures and walking on sand. We stopped for lunch a little cafe. I got a salad with onions, red peppers, grilled chicken and baby spinach (doused in honey mustard) and a smoothie (mango, peach, banana in apple juice)! Delicious :)

At the beach I was scared to go too far into the water. The waves were insane! Gunnar was by far the bravest of us all with Ethan a close second. Danielle and I were content staying by the shore watching them. As for the times we did head in deeper... well that didn't turn out too well.
