Happy 90th birthday to my mother

One of the reasons for my recent stress is this cake.  My mother still swims most days so I wanted to make her a "swimming pool" cake.  Sadly I lack the required skills and for weeks have been trying to create something resembling a pool and swimmers without much success.  The figure on the left is meant to be wearing a red swimming cap but the dye ran and it looks as if she had a very nasty head accident!   Luckily the cake actually tasted quite good so I was forgiven for the fact it looked like baby's first cooking session.  One less thing to worry about now.  Mummy had a good day and the party (I can't believe she has so many friends) went well.
