It's Grim Up North

Fragile

A phial of Trump's ego is delivered to the child psychology dept at Lancaster University.

Loitering in stairwells in extras.

Another visit to the Elizabeth Roberts archive to arrange to have some of the interviews emailed to me.

I love visiting the university. Over the 40 years I have lived here it has provided squash courts, a swimming pool, exhibitions, theatre, concerts, superb small business and management courses and financial help for my businesses. It has grown to be one of the top 10 universities in Britain. Sadly it doesn't do as much town and gown work as it used to because of the huge changes in educational funding over the decades. But it's still there and Lancaster would be dead without it.

I was amused (wrong word) to see four professors crushed into one small office in the history department. Thirty years ago, each would have had their own office and a secretary.
