Tiny Tuesday - Polarised Droplet

This panel started with an attempt to photograph a glycerine droplet under my digital microscope which was not working out too well so I transferred my efforts to photographing the droplet on the back of a CD to give the polarised colours and photographing it with my 100mm macro lens with all my extension tubes added. The differing polarised effects come from photographing at a slightly different angle and I have used a LED for lighting which produces the radiating columns of light when polarised. Just a bit of fun really !
