Banana anybody?

Bananas are a huge crop in this part of India, you see plantations alongside many of the roads with fruit cut on it's stem, waiting to be collected and taken off to be sold, mainly in local markets. The fruits come in many varieties and you will see a stem hanging in local shops waiting for people to buy one or two, or more fruits as they pass. They range in size from foot long plantain, to small 3 inch fruits which are very sweet. The colours range from green though yellow to a browny red which is a Keralan speciality and highly prized.
