Through the fence. Again.

Yesterday we got the 'builder's yard' element of the garden around the Mas cleared and moved to somewhere less prominent, although it's a pity that we didn't get it done before the bbq last Saturday. It's something that I've been meaning to do for some while, as I really don't think the basic elements of garden design include stacks of wall and floor tiles and terracotta building blocks!

Another job that has been on my to do list was begun this morning - pruning the six olive trees that we have around the Mas. They haven't been pruned for two years at least and do need tidying up... as one of our Catalan friends pointed out to us at the bbq. So I've removed quite a lot from from two of the trees, done very little to the one that Jasper shelters from the sun beneath, and the other three are going to be shaped a la Bonsai... sort of like this. A friend has shaped his olive trees like this and I rather like it, although it's not to everyone's taste I know.

Lunch in the village house now and then finding something to do until 4pm our time, when I hope to be Skyping with my Mum... if she hasn't forgotten again!
