Highs and Lows...

Woke at 4am assuming it was because I needed the loo, but I didn't.  Felt a bit uncomfortable so tried to change position and oh dear heavens, the pain that shot through my left hip and down my left leg.  Agony!  

Eventually managed to sit up and take some painkillers but didn't really settle again.  When my alarm went off at 8am I was shattered and still in pain.  I think sitting in the same position on a hard dining room chair for four and a half hours last night hasn't been the best thing for my hip!

By the time I'd had a hot shower, my second lot of painkillers and a cuppa, I felt a bit better but it was clear there was no way I would be going to Becca's baby shower.  Contacted her mum to give my apologies and then the thought struck me that the shower would probably be held in one of the function suites of the hotel and they are all upstairs, so it's unlikely I could have gone anyway!  

Kenny arrived and after getting me settled in my comfy chair with all I could possibly need, David and Kenny headed off out into rather miserable weather to play golf.  Within 10 minutes the weather had cleared and there was blue sky and sunshine.

I spent a pleasant afternoon with my feet up, trying to source furniture for the garden room and editing the photos I took last night.

David and Kenny arrived back and David was on cloud nine having played his best round of golf ever!  That's the second time wearing his Dad's Lucky Golf socks and he's won both times.   I can see me having to buy more of these socks!  :-))

Blipped the gift I bought for Becca's baby yesterday.  Cuter and cheaper than the one David bought!   :-))
