They do exist

I was told that Shark spotters use the high ground over False Bay to look for the critters, if sighted they sound a siren at which point everyone should exit the water. How he could spot them today when the bay was filled with 'white horses' was beyond me. I felt reassured, however, when going for a swim later that there was more security than the shark net.
