Canoeing on the Little Miami

After church, we made a picnic, and went canoeing on the Little Miami. It was a hot day, and I had been afraid I would find it too hot, but there was quite a bit of cloud cover and a pleasant breeze, so it was really fairly comfortable. We had planned on doing the 9-mile trip. However, with our drought, the water was pretty low and the current fairly sluggish, so paddling was harder work than usual, and by the time we got to the 6-mile take-out point Jen felt she'd had enough. She suggested we could see if there was a kayak for Laura, and she could join us in our canoe, but I think we were all getting a bit tired, so we decided to call it a day. We stopped for an ice-cream at Graeters on the way home, then went for a swim before dinner.
