Snow Down Under

A COSY CORNER:

Sitting here gives you an overview of the front garden. That's a dwarf cyclamen in the hanging basket - I have been waiting on it to flower before I took this blip. In the bottom corner is Raoulia hookeri, which is a N. Z. native, found in river beds & alpine regions of the South Island. It's common name is Scabweed, which is very expressive because it forms large grey mats over 1m across; forming a cancer on the land. I brought this plant from our farm in the Lindis Pass & it was doing well, until someone's heel of their shoe caught the middle of it, & lifted the centre out. Happily it is still growing.

Wind, wind, wind & more wind !
