Waiting and waiting and waiting
…...........Continuing on with the car saga............................ This is really beginning to get a bit boring now.
Why do car sales-rooms not open until 11am on a Sunday? This afternoon Ann said, 'Molly, I'm going looking for a new car. You can come with me and wait in the car and then I'll take you for a play down on the beach at Portobello.'
I've had to wait in the car for ages and ages this afternoon. I was starting to think that Ann had forgotten all about my walk. But of course she hadn't and I've had ever such a nice play down on the beach at Porty.
As for the new car................. After considering practically every make of car in the world (well that's what it feels like?!) Ann kept coming back to the same one. A Fiat Qubo because it has a boot that I can easily jump into and it has sliding back doors and it is in our price range. Everything else was either out-with our price range or else the boot was too difficult for me to jump into and Ann didn't really want to go down the route of getting me a little ramp because apparently 'that's too much hassle'.
Didn't want to go back to the dealership that had sold us a car and then a week later told us there was a glitch and it wasn't available. Grrrrrrrr. So went to another dealership and guess what; have bought a Fiat Qubo which is a better model than what we were going to buy and it is more than £200 cheaper than what we were going to pay.
The only problem is; it has to be registered by 28 February so we won't get 2017 plates (we can live with that) and it's 'Hillbilly azure' not disco green. Apparently disco green is not one of Fiats colours any more. Why last weeks salesperson didn't tell us that is a mystery?! Actually why he didn't tell us a lot of things is a mystery? Apparently the car tax laws for new cars are changing in April as well. He didn't tell us that either.
….........................So we should have a new car within a couple of weeks. Whoopee doo!!!
