St Columba's Well

Despite the overcast start to the day the sun came out and we were treated to a lovely bright sunny day :-)
Just the day to get a shot of St Columba's Well :-)

Shopping away we headed south to Southend then on past Keil cemetery to Carskey beach for a walk.
After our walk we stopped near to the site of St Columba's footprints and walked further on to the site of the well.
I have put in an extra shot to give you a sense of where the well is situated.
If you look for the little ivy covered chapel it is sited to the left of this just outside of the wall that surrounds the graveyard and chapel.
