Taking the Kayak for a walk

We packed up for a day at the beach, with our kayak and surf casting rod as well as one for the kayak.  Wayne had to pull the kayak through the channel at low tide - bad time to arrive.  good thing was the tide was in and he could kayak all the way back.  Although we didn't get any fish we could take home we had an awesome day out.  We got home in time to watch the end of the cricket.

The extra photo, though not a very good one, is of a baby oyster catcher.  Mummy and daddy were very protective by trying to lure me away from it.  I had to walk knee deep in the water as they were dive bombing me.
