Dead Wasp

Yesterday I had been throwing treats on the floor for the dogs and I saw one , I thought, tucked right at the edge of the carpet against the skirting board. When I went to pick it up I found it was a dead wasp. Quite how long it had been there I am not sure ( hopefully not since the summer months ! ). I thought it would be an ideal specimen to photograph under the digital microscope. Because of its size I used focus stacking technique (10 images) and was pleasantly surprised with the result as each of the body hairs are showing.
