Saturday: Dunb

The snowfall has continued in a pretty significant way.  We had to beat the snow off the trees in the garden this morning as they had collapsed under the weight and were barring access to the garage.  It was difficult to tell where the steps were under all that snow, with the effect that I completely misjudged and did a pretty spectacular tumble in the snow......all that was hurt was my pride.

We met up with E and V this afternoon to go and see 'LaLaLand' - we decided to go and support one of the few remaining independent cinemas left (which also happens to be our nearest).  It was wonderfully old fashioned, with great legroom and good popcorn.  As for the film, loved it!  I actually knew very little about it, apart from the fact that it has been nominated for a lot of Oscars but it's definitely a movie that makes you fall back in love with films.  Sometimes it's actually good to watch a movie without knowing anything about it - that way you have no expectations.

Finished the evening with dinner at 'Mr Red's' on Broadway - very tasty Vietnamese.
