Lune Millennium Bridge

My plan had been that I would break my journey home and take part in the Cross Bay Half Marathon on the Sunday - a fascinating race that goes across the north end of Morecambe Bay.

So, I drove as far as Lancaster and crashed out in the Holiday Inn there (thank goodness for loyalty points). Then I went for a walk round the town centre.

This is the Lube Millennium Bridge, opened in 2001 as a pedestrian and cycle bridge.
