Birthday girl

My mum was born 110 years ago today. Here she is in the doorway of the family home in Hampshire, with Brown Peter the dug. The photo was almost certainly taken by her big brother Arthur when he was home on leave from serving in WWI - probably the summer of 1916 or '17.

She's been dead for over fifty-three years now; a day has never gone by without me missing her.
