Seven Hills
After yesterday's reconnoitre of Corstorphine Hill I am now seriously interested in doing the Seven Hills of Edinburgh run (7HE). So today I reconnitered , for my own benefit, the part of the route from Craiglockhart Hill East to Arthurs Seat. Just walking. I'd never been up Craiglockhart Hill East before so that was interesting - it's a fine viewpoint. I'd been walking about Braid Hill a number of times before with A and the dogs but never had to try to get to a specific point ( i.e. the exit to Braid Hills Road closest to the path to Blackford Hill) so I was very grateful when two of the park ground keepers pulled up in their little truck and asked if I was lost! I didn't consider myself "lost" but certainly uncertain of the route I should be taking. They were very nice guys and gave me good directions. However, I still struggled to get to where I wanted to be but, after some retracing of steps, found a tiny, overgrown steep trail (which I'd previously walked past and dismissed) which took me to precisely where I wanted to be - the "Lang Linn" path towards Blackford Hll. More shenannigans followed as I made my way up Blackford Hill and continued across town and up Arthur's Seat.
