Shadows!

Well, not quite so much shadow as glinting sun on an old gnarled tree. I was planning a photo of the shadows from the trees across the path to show that we had sun today but as I was taking it two gentlemen came up to chat and tell me I had to take a photo of this tree. It is a really good one! We chatted for a while and I wanted to be brave enough to ask them if I could take their photo....but I'm not that brave and would just feel silly with my phone.
I got off on the road to Scotland at 6:00 so was quite happy with that. But I was highly disappointed to discover that Papa John's is no longer in the Gretna services. I had really been looking forward to one of their pizzas for dinner. Judging by the abrupt stop and stare at a blank wall from the man bidding to overtake me (exact reaction I had moments before), I am not the only one to miss it!
At my parents, I got a VERY BIG welcome from Jodie who had a hard time trying to calm down. Ok....so it's fair to say she wasn't trying and wasn't caring.....it was us humans that wanted her to calm down! ;)



At every turn today it felt like Jewelz should be there. Maybe cause Toby has stayed for a couple days and is gone. And packing in one case and driving up to Scotland alone just feels wrong. :(
