What a load of Bullocks!
A role reversal tonight. Out on my bike. Now up to this point dogs, in my experience, are friendly little or big furry animals that want to please, doing any thing for a tickle. I have dogs and have come across many.
Bulls on the other hand are large, muscular and in my experience, can chase you when traversing there property, i know this, i have been seen off ( knew i should have opted out of wearing red shorts whilst hiking).
But my world has been turned upside down. I rarely shy away from animal encounters, so you can understand my predetermined composition when presented with a little fat Jack Russell in a farmers yard. I grew up with Borders, Bedlington and Jack Russell Terriers.
He spotted me at 20yards and to my surprise attacked. Luckley for me they cannot fly, especially rotund little fellas, but a savage attack on my trainer non the less( he undid and frayed the end of my laces).
In a state of shock (and amusement) i was then encountered by a posse of Bullocks.
What happened next restored my faith in Mammals. I expected the worst but they slowly approached and inquisitively posed for the camera. The big fella led the way with his posse in close proximity. I even got a sniffed hand.
So the moral of the story, animals are not born with a fear of man, they are taught it, by man.
Have a good evening or afternoon depending where you are :-)
