Hard Facts

....a newspaper wrote that since the begin of November 145000 tons of loose chippings (???? tiny, tiny, very sharp pieces of stone..?? ) were distributed at the pavements and dangerous crossings around the city - and now the street-cleaning (?? is that the correct term???) have to collect them again.......
I'd say they only have to collect about 12000 tons. The rest is in my shoes...... :-))
