Whilst it's a lot nicer using 35mm spikey tyres on the proper bike than it was using either 35mm tyres or 30mm spikey tyres on the old sparebike the spikey tyres will stay spikier for longer if I try and keep them for when they're needed, rather than continuing to use them in the warm.
