Try Day Friday
Friday has become Try-Day in my kitchen. Last week I tried a recipe I had seen on TV with spinach and Feta cheese, wrapped in filo pastry. I had cooked neither before.
This week, although I've cooked trout before, I thought I needed to try it again. It's doing something out of my comfort zone. I have loads of recipe books and it would be a good idea to use them to get me out of a rut. (Yes, Kaybee, I could pile them up in a series of steps and that would get me out of a very deep rut!)
So, having managed to cook rainbow trout tonight, next time I will combine it with almonds, leeks, cream and ginger wine.
