Serendipity!

Some of you may know that I have a 'thing' for puffins.

For years I've been meaning to make a papier mache one and today I visited my local hardware shop to buy some chicken wire in order to make one.

While the assistant was out the back cutting it the other boy and I were chatting. I explained what I was going to do with the chicken wire.

He asked if I liked puffins, to which I replied that I did and that one year I hope to visit a colony.

He then went quiet and I could tell he was thinking. I thought he was going to tell me the best place and time of year to see them.

Instead he said he he had a stuffed puffin in a case that was his Gran's and would I like it! He's going to bring it into the shop for me to look at on Monday!
