I'm sad

Today was full of promise: swimming at the pools, catching up with friends and a walk in the forest.

However, things don't always go to plan...

We had just made it into the pools, when S2 hit his head (hard) on a metal bar, in the kids area. With quite a big bump and not feeling well, the swim was quickly over and we all headed home.

And instead of meeting at a playground, D&J&G&L came over for a catch up, while we watched S2 for signs of a concussion...

The kids got on extremely well and had heaps of fun, playing with the trucks, trains and torches.

S2 wasn't looking so great, a quick call to our doctors confirmed an available appointment. So, we quickly packed the car, but poor CJ just sat at the top of the stairs. When I asked what was wrong, he said he was sad as his new friends had gone home.

So, as a special treat he stayed with Nan and G. They were also heading home, but little while after us, so had the time to take him for a walk in the forest with Molly.

LJ and I took S2 to the doctors - and the diagnosis is concussion and whiplash.

Its going to be a very quiet last few days of his holiday...
