Norie-Miller Park illuminations
My next assignment for A Year with my Camera: to take a photo on my highest ISO that is aesthetically pleasing (black and white is acceptable). This one, at ISO 5000, is closer to "just tolerable" than to "pleasing".
It's been useful to confirm that my previous assessment that ISO 1600 fine, 3200 if desperate, was still about right.
It's not B&W, obviously; I've never considered if noise is more tolerable in mono, even though I knew that film grain was more acceptable. I think I should explore high ISO mono too.
This shot is with in-camera noise reduction, which I thought was more appropriate for the assignment. I guess I could do a bit better with software post-processing.
