Pease Dean Woods
Way back in November I had discovered this woodland ravine that leads down to Pease Bay. Yesterday. With my friends, Eric and John we set out to explore it and were delighted to find that the low winter sunlight made it a fascinating environment with pictures in all directions. We were only able to get half-way down the path as it became too muddy though the Scottish Wildlife Trust put a lot of thought into maintaining the pathways, with wooden bridges and steps at all the difficult points. Nevertheless it was an enchanting experience topped off with a nice pub lunch in Coldingham. It is definitely a place to which we will return especially as we have decided that our theme for next year's annual exhibition is going to be "Woodland".
