Afternoon Fishing

An egret at the edge of the salt marsh this afternoon kept popping back some tiny critters and it was tough to tell while it was happening exactly what he was eating.
Once home, I examined the pictures more closely, and I believe this guy was snapping up some glass shrimp, a favourite delicacy.
These shrimp may be small, but if the egret eats enough of them, he'll be a happy boy.
