In the Distance

I think this is a metaphor for my knee recovery. It's a long road and I'm not to the end yet. The good news was the knee is healing in place. The bad news is I will have six more weeks in the leg brace. I will begin physical therapy to strengthen and bend better, but I can't put weight on it unless it's straight in the brace. I wanted to cry when he told me but then realized it's not that much longer and I'm on the mend!
Grateful today...that the knee is healing. I'm on the way. It's just a longer road than I expected.
