Sweet Pea by ringfash
After spending a good part of the day slaving over a hot computer getting my files up to date my brain was starting to hurt so took the camera with ringflash attached into the garden with no plan in mind but just to mess around.
I took a few macros of a couple of big spiders-nothing very special- so then as I had rarely used this flash on flowers experimented on a few with some interesting results.
This image of the sweet peas was shot against the sky with the flower illuminated by the flash. Varying the shutter speed enabled the sky to register lighter or darker, to me this was one of the most successful shots.
It's a technique I haven't used much before so look forward experimenting more, you never stop learning in photography.
