No surgery needed

Apparently the piece of bone is not completely chipped off and attached to a tendon, so it can't be taken out. I've been sent on to a hand therapist. She made me a little cast to immobilise the joint for the next two weeks, hoping for the bone to heal.

Meanwhile the entire finger has stiffened through lack of use. With this very local cast I can now try and bend and stretch the upper joint in the little finger.

I don't hold my breath for complete recovery, sigh. But we'll wait and see.
