Eggborough
Mary and I took a break from the decorating this afternoon and managed to find some sunshine on our walk to Birkin Church and back. Tony was left applying the final pieces of wallpaper in the hall. I had finished the painting just after lunch and set about tidying up. Next week we will drive over and paint the wallpaper, and put a final coat on the ceiling, and then Mary's bungalow will be finished! It certainly does look very different to when she first took possession of the keys and opened up the horrors of a neglected property. Walls and ceilings have been re-plastered; all scrubbed; new bathroom fitted; central heating installed; new window with more to come, it is now truly Mary's home.
