Braving the wet - WildWed44

Well today I just had to go out, rain or no.  (Would have preferred no, but there you go!).  I took this down by the river, rather hoping the water would provide a bit of light, which it duly did.

Also, today I bought a scarf for my old gent.  It was his 86th birthday yesterday and today I went to see him.  He hasn't recovered from his fall of a couple of weeks ago, not by a long chalk, but he has finally seen a doctor, listened to what she had to say and agreed to take painkillers.  Consequently he was much happier.

The reason he wouldn't see a doctor earlier was because he was afraid Social Services would tell him he couldn't live on his own and whisk him off willy-nilly to an old folks home.  Would they spend the money?  As if!!!

Okay.  Nothing about politics.  Nah nah!  May it give them all indigestion.
