Wildemoos Alm

We had a day off, so decided to walk instead of ski. We took a bus up to wildemoos. It was very snowy up there, with snow still stuck on the trees, silence except for the drops of thawing snow.
We were first at the hut for a coffee and cake at this amazing place. Soon it was full after another bus dropped off loads of skiiers and walkers many of whom headed straight to the cafe, famous for apfel strudel, brought out on a trolley, with a blue flashing light and a loud siren! Huge slabs if strudel, heavy on the apple . Absolutely delicious !
The place was decorated with stuffed animals, photos, football memorabilia etc .
