Ready for the picking

Elderberries yesterday, grapes today. We are down to the business end of the year round here. My friend's vendange begins on Thursday and she is not looking forward to 10-12 days of backbreaking work. She has done it too many times! I will soon have grapes coming out of my ears for I met my new neighbour below for the first time yesterday. She is an infrequent visitor and I was agonising over whether I should pick the grapes in her absence. I resisted but was rewarded yesterday by an invitation to pick as many as I wanted.
