roses and castles

A bit of a challenge to find a blip today with Birmingham covered by low cloud and rain for most of the day. A walk down the canal towpath found a little brightness in the Buckby water cans that adorn the roofs of some of the narrowboats. It is a UK tradition to hand paint  the boat furniture in bright colours and with a theme of roses and castles - not sure why but they do brighten up a dull day.
