Displacement activity

While emptying the bin I found a walnut shell which reminded me of the time when I used to sail walnut boats in the gutters by the road when it rained. Probably an activity to be frowned on today.

I  remember using a match as the mast and paper as the sail, but how to attach the mast - sadly, I cannot remember.  My suspicion is that back in the day I had more patience and a vastly better penknife. 

My copy has a cocktail stick and the sail is stuck to the shell.  Not as good but  . . .
