After the Snow

After the snow last night we might have expected to see Crathes Castle with a white carpet all around. But no, just a very light sprinkling in areas not touched by the sun. It seems the snow was very localised, and though there was still a lot of snow in Westhill, there was almost none as we headed lightly further west.

Obviously there was no snow in the city. In the morning we had a breakfast at the Sandollar next to the beach, followed by an invigorating walk down to Footdee. No snow maybe but quite cold.

Although there was not much snow at Crathes we gave the walled garden a miss as it looked just a shade too slippery.
