elephant hawk moth caterpillar

Found this chap sitting on the garden wall looking like some sort of deranged draft excluder (there's also a hint of Zippy from Rainbow in that face). He's been relocated so the birds don't get him (and because the idea of what he'll turn into is enough to give me palpitations!).
