Gumnut Baby

I blipped my gumnut blossoms a few weeks back.  Since then with the hot weather we have had they wilted, then dropped and the tree has been under quite a bit of stress.  I am nursing it at the moment and hope it survives.  It has been another scorcher today with temps over 40C.

In my search for a Tiny Tuesday blip this evening I found this wee grassy hiding inside the nut.  It might be 7mm or so and gives some scale to the gumnut.  Thanks to wrperry for hosting and who is just itching to see all things Tiny.
