Waterock Knob

Today we hiked to the top of Waterock Knob. It was a 1 mile round trip hike straight up to 6292 ft peak. Great view at the top of the Great Smokey Mountains.

There was a group of about 15 retired men and one woman about 3/4 of the way up working to repair the trail. They come every Friday to work carrying axes, chain saws, weed wackers, etc. up the trail. They were moving huge rocks, cutting logs, and pounding in rebar to repair the steps towards the top of the trail.
