Flower or weed?
I found this emerging through one of the Grevilleas in my front garden this morning. It is so tiny and beautifully formed, I find it hard to believe it may be a weed. It is only 3mm across when fully opened and has been hellishingly difficult to photograph. I guess I have taken 100 shots and am still not happy. What looks like blur in the centre is really looking down a very deep throat. There is so much detail there that I am really disappointed I couldn't do better. Is it that my 60mm lens is not good enough? Any advice would be useful. I am sure I have photographed equally small objects and insects with much more success. Now I have spent half an hour looking for the gardener to get identification - but no, not to be found. I have googled endlessly with no luck. So ignorance prevails on all levels. Oh dear!
Update: Pleach has put me right. It is Lobelia erinus, of mainly South African origin. See, all answers can be found on Blip! Thanks Pleach.;o)
