Where I've spent My Day

That's right. In bed. I think I got my daughters cold, and it is a doozy. I had 6 layers of blankets on, and I was still cold. Tummy ache, hard to sleep, coughing fits, and a slight temperature (101.4).

Allow me to take you back to the beginning of time...the creation. By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. Genesis 2:2

So, on the 7th day he rested. Or...did he?

Believe it or not...here's how it went down. God and the Holy Spirit are talking.

GOD: "Real soon here, we're going to have the female have two babies."

HS: "How's that going to work?"

GOD: "Well, we're working out the details, but imagine having a watermelon in your stomach, and you have to...you know...push it out of your body."

HS: "YIKES! So...what...you're looking to somehow have the male go through some pain, too?"

GOD: "That's right. You got any ideas?"

HS: "How about, when we start building things...you have the man banging his thumb with a hammer?"

GOD: "That's good, but I think they'll just take my name in vain...and move on. What else?"

HS: "Well, staying with wood...how about we have the man getting a HUGE splinter in his palm?"

GOD: "That's closer, but still not painful enough."

HS: "One more. How about that awkward moment when a man is getting a physical...and he picks a doctor with GIANT fingers. That bending over is no fun."

GOD: "I'm with you, but it's still not enough."

Moments passed.

The Holy Spirit finally spoke. "I'VE GOT IT! I'VE GOT IT! TO MATCH THE PREGNANCIES...WE'LL GIVE MAN THE MAN-COLD!!!"

GOD: "That's it! You work out the details, and in a few days...we'll try it on Adam."

Thus, the man-cold was born.
